Professor Bo-Hyoung Jin's research lab focuses on oral health disparities across the lifespan, with a strong emphasis on preventive dentistry, geriatric oral health, and the impact of social determinants on oral disease outcomes. The lab investigates the interplay between cognitive and non-cognitive factors in dental student performance, while also exploring the immunological microenvironment in rare tumors such as pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma. A key focus is on improving oral health outcomes through targeted interventions for vulnerable populations, including children, the disabled, and older adults living alone.

15OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of early childhood caries (ECC), including noncavitated lesions (d1), in children 6-59 months of age in relation to socioeconomic factors, feeding practices, and oral health behaviors in Seoul, Korea.
