Professor Bo-Hyung Kim's research lab specializes in materials science and pharmaceutical sciences, with a focus on developing stable and efficient perovskite materials for optoelectronic applications and advancing personalized drug therapy through pharmacokinetic modeling. The lab investigates the role of molecular engineering—particularly in organic cations and cationic frameworks—in enhancing the humidity stability and performance of halide perovskites for solar cells. In parallel, the lab applies machine learning and Bayesian methods to optimize therapeutic drug monitoring, especially for antibiotics like vancomycin, by selecting patient-specific pharmacokinetic models. Additionally, the lab explores drug–herb interactions and the pharmacokinetic profiles of novel pharmaceutical agents, such as PDE5 inhibitors and herbal formulations.

However, the mean volume of distribution was higher than the values reported in other population pharmacokinetic studies, which may have been due to the use of 2 sampling time points.
