Professor Bo Yeon Kim's research lab specializes in molecular oncology and precision medicine, focusing on the epigenetic regulation of cancer-related genes, particularly through DNA methylation and histone modification. The lab investigates signaling pathways in lung and gastric cancers, with an emphasis on EGFR and TLR4 signaling, and explores the role of microRNAs and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as biomarkers in cancer progression and treatment response. A key direction involves translating molecular findings into clinical applications, such as liquid biopsies and targeted therapies for non-small cell lung cancer and colorectal cancer.
