Professor Bomi Song's research lab focuses on the neural and behavioral mechanisms underlying feeding behavior and sensory processing in the nematode *Caenorhabditis elegans*, with a particular emphasis on how neuromodulators like serotonin regulate motor control and learning-related plasticity. The lab investigates the integration of sensory cues, such as bacterial presence, with internal neuromodulatory signals to control feeding motions like pharyngeal pumping and isthmus peristalsis. Additionally, the lab explores the role of specific neurons and receptors in mediating familiarity-based feeding decisions and the broader implications for neural circuit function and behavioral adaptation. Recent work also extends to understanding the role of dynamic capabilities and corporate governance in sustainability practices, reflecting an interdisciplinary interest in systems-level regulation across biological and organizational domains.

Using listed firms with audit committees in the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) market, we find that firms with a politically connected audit committee have higher earnings quality than those without such connections. 선행연구들은 선도형 경영전략을 사용하는 기업들이 방어형 경영전략을 사용하는 기업들보다 더욱 공격적으로 이익의 상향조정을 수행한다고 보고한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 우수한 특성을 가진 감사위원회가 이러한 경영전략-이익조정 수준 사이의 관계에 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보았다. 감사위원회가 본연의 역할을 제대로 수행한다면, 선도형 경영전략을 사용하는 경영자의 공격적 이익조정 행위를 억제할 것으로 예측되기 때문이다. 실증분석 결과에 따르면, 선행연구의 발견과 일관되게 선도형 경영전략을 사용하는 기업들이 이익의 상향조정을 하는 경향이 더 높다는 것을 발견하였다. 또한 우수한 특성을 가진 감사위원회(독립성, 전문성, 활동성, 이사의 힘으로 측정)는 이러한 경영전략-이익조정 수준 사이의 유의적인 관계를 약화시키는 것으로 드러났다. 그 결과 우수한 특성을 가진 감사위원회를 보유한 기업에서는, 선도형 경영전략을 사용하는 기업이라도 다른 기업들 보다 이익조정을 더 많이 수행한다는 증거를 발견할 수 없었다
