Professor Byung Hee Kang's research lab focuses on advancing precision oncology through integrative analysis of clinical, genomic, and imaging data in various cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, rectal cancer, and glioblastoma. The lab investigates the biological and dosimetric determinants of treatment response, particularly the impact of radiotherapy on the immune system and tumor microenvironment, aiming to identify predictive biomarkers for lymphopenia, metastasis, and prognosis. A key focus is on leveraging multi-omics data, including transcriptomics and next-generation sequencing, to uncover molecular subtypes and therapeutic vulnerabilities in aggressive cancers.
