Professor Chang-won Kim's research lab focuses on reproductive biology and ovarian aging, with a strong emphasis on identifying biomarkers and therapeutic interventions for ovarian insufficiency and infertility. The lab investigates molecular regulators such as BMP15, GDF9, and C-KIT in ovarian function and aging, while also exploring the potential of nutraceuticals like coenzyme Q10 and oyster hydrolysate in mitigating ovarian damage and improving reproductive outcomes. Additionally, the lab examines clinical applications in assisted reproductive technologies, including embryo transfer and uterine receptivity, as well as interventional strategies for uterine fibroids. Their work bridges basic science and translational medicine, aiming to develop non-toxic, effective treatments for age-related and chemically induced ovarian failure.
