Professor Chang-Woong Woo's research lab specializes in gravitational wave astrophysics, focusing on the detection and characterization of stochastic gravitational-wave backgrounds using data from advanced interferometric detectors such as Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo. The lab develops innovative data analysis techniques, including gravitational-wave radiometry and spherical harmonic decomposition, to map diffuse and directional gravitational-wave signals across the sky.
