Professor Dong-Jin Lim's research lab specializes in cardiovascular imaging, with a focus on advancing non-invasive diagnostic techniques for cardiomyopathies using cutting-edge medical imaging modalities. The lab investigates the clinical applications of cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and dual-energy computed tomography (DECT), particularly in quantifying myocardial tissue characteristics such as extracellular volume fraction (ECV), T1 and T2 mapping, and delayed enhancement. Key research directions include improving diagnostic accuracy, risk stratification, and treatment monitoring in non-ischemic cardiomyopathies, including hypertrophic, dilated, amyloidotic, and sarcoidotic cardiomyopathies.
