Professor Dong-Hyuk Cho's research lab specializes in cardiovascular and metabolic health, with a focus on the pathophysiology of heart failure, particularly the role of organ-specific adiposity such as epicardial adipose tissue in cardiac remodeling. The lab investigates the impact of lifestyle factors—like physical activity and statin use—on outcomes in infectious diseases (e.g., COVID-19) and postoperative complications.
