Professor Doo-Young Kang's research lab specializes in clinical anesthesiology and surgical pain management, with a focus on optimizing postoperative outcomes through innovative regional anesthesia techniques such as erector spinae plane block (ESPB) and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols. The lab investigates novel radiopharmaceutical agents for sentinel lymph node detection in thoracic oncology, aiming to improve diagnostic accuracy and surgical outcomes in early-stage lung cancer. Additionally, the lab explores patient-centered approaches to orthopedic and spinal conditions, including brace compliance in pectus carinatum and rare infections like sternal osteomyelitis, emphasizing early diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment strategies.
