Professor Duk-Yong Kim's research lab specializes in neurological rehabilitation, focusing on post-stroke motor and cognitive impairments. The lab investigates neuromodulation techniques such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), develops innovative 3D virtual reality (VR) systems for assessing unilateral neglect and cognitive dysfunction, and explores biomechanical and electromyographic parameters for quantifying spasticity and gait abnormalities. The lab integrates clinical neurology with advanced technology to improve assessment and rehabilitation outcomes in stroke and neurologic populations.

Background : Shoulder subluxation is a significant problem in poststroke patients, resulting in pain and loss of function.
