Professor Dukhyun Seong's research lab specializes in diagnostic and interventional radiology, with a focus on peripheral nerve disorders, musculoskeletal imaging, and image-guided interventions. The lab investigates rare neurological conditions such as intraneural ganglion cysts, dystonic muscle disorders, and vasculitic myositis using advanced imaging techniques like PET/CT and MRI. Key research directions include improving the accuracy of nerve localization during interventions, understanding the spread of injectates in peripheral nerves, and evaluating treatment outcomes in complex peripheral nerve pathologies. The lab also explores the role of neuroimaging in early diagnosis and management of systemic diseases presenting with neuromuscular symptoms.

This is a rare case of sciatic neuropathy in a 46-year-old man secondary to an intraneural ganglion cyst from the hip joint extending upward to the lumbar plexus and the L5 nerve root.
