研究室紹介
Professor Dukyoung Kim's research lab specializes in intelligent manufacturing systems and cyber-physical integration, focusing on bridging the gap between digital task planning and physical execution in smart factories. The lab develops innovative architectures—such as the active driver wrapper (linker)—to enable real-time, adaptive control of field devices through hardware abstraction and dynamic reconfiguration. Their work emphasizes autonomy, flexibility, and interoperability in Industry 4.0 environments, particularly in enabling seamless communication between high-level production plans and low-level automation systems. The lab also explores digital twin technologies and software-defined manufacturing to enhance system responsiveness and operational efficiency.

1In the era of Industry 4.0, manufacturing systems require essential capabilities of rapid-reconfiguration and autonomous operations. Many studies have been conducted to generate flexible plans and optimize task sequences at the shop floor system-level. However, little attention have paid on how to connect these task plans to the actual execution of field devices. Therefore, this paper proposes the concept and architecture of active driver wrapper (called linker) for improvised and interactive ta
