Professor Eun-Hwa Lee's research lab specializes in interdisciplinary biomedical and environmental sciences, focusing on host-microbe interactions, infectious disease biomarkers, and sustainable catalytic materials. The lab investigates the role of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in plant-microbe symbiosis and plant adaptation to terrestrial environments, while also exploring host immune responses in sepsis and bloodstream infections in critically ill patients. Additionally, the lab develops advanced mesoporous silica-based catalysts for efficient biomass conversion and renewable energy applications. These diverse research directions reflect a strong commitment to understanding biological systems and designing innovative materials for health and environmental sustainability.

본 연구는 우리나라 최초의 유치원인 이화여자대학교 사범대학 부속 이화유치원의 교육과정을 구성하고 있는 이론적 근거를 역사적, 철학적으로 고찰하는 것을 그 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통하여 이화유치원 설립 당시부터 현재까지의 교육과정의 성립 및 변천과정과 철학적, 심리적 사조를 살펴보고 이들의 영향이 이화유치원 교육과정에 나타난 부분을 탐구하였다. 연구결과 1914년 한 미국인 선교사에 의해 설립된 이화여자대학교 사범대학 부속 이화유치원은 설립 이후 지금까지 우리나라 유치원 교육의 모델을 제시하며 선도적 역할을 담당해오고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 교육과정의 측면에서는 유아들의 전인발달 특히 사회, 정서적인 발달을 중요시하고 우리의 전통사상과 기독교정신, 진보주의 이론 및 구성주의가 그 철학적, 심리적 기초를 이루고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
