Professor Eun Jeong Lee's research lab specializes in biomedical engineering and health informatics, focusing on the development of artificial intelligence applications in cardiology, particularly in using electrocardiograms to predict diastolic dysfunction and heart failure. The lab also explores personalized energy load forecasting using deep learning techniques, emphasizing transfer and meta-learning for efficient individualized modeling. In addition, the lab investigates public health issues such as pediatric dental caries related to dietary behaviors and educational disparities in mathematics achievement by gender, integrating data-driven approaches to inform policy and intervention strategies.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between snack food intakes and dental caries in 661 Korean elementary school children. After each meal, 59.6% of the surveyed children ate snack foods, in particular, they ate snack heavily after lunch. The snack food items causing dental caries contained high levels of sugar and were convenience foods, which the children had preference toward. 본 연구에서는 PISA수학성취도 자료와 국내외 성차 관련 연구 자료를 분석하여 우리나라 학생들의 성차 추이와 그에 대한 배경을 살펴보았다. 우리나라는 2000년과 2003년 PISA수학성취도 평가에서 유의미하게 큰 성차를 보인 반면 2006년부터 성차가 급격히 감소하였다. 이러한 성차의 급격한 감소 현상에 영향을 미친 요인을 탐색하기 위해 국내외 성차 관련 연구 자료를 분석하였으며, 이를 토대로 여성의 이공계 진출을 유도하는 국가차원의 정책적 지원과 같은 사회문화적 변화와 교육과정과 그에 따른 교과서의 변화 등과 같은 요인들이 여학생의 수학 성취도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 판단된다.
Biomedical composites of hydroxyapatite (HA) and bioactive glass (BG) have been difficult to obtain as a dense body without the undesirable occurrence of thermal reactions and phase degradation. In order to provide seamless VoIP service in the mobile wireless environment, we need to minimize the disruption time to process a handoff of an ongoing VoIP call. There are several schemes focusing on this issue. However, they require a lot of signalling message exchanges, resulting in exposures of confidential information of the mobile nodes in network. We propose a dynamic shadow registration scheme eliminating these disadvantages. Our simulation results show our scheme can significantly redu
