研究室紹介

Professor Eunil Park's research lab specializes in human-centered technology adoption, focusing on user acceptance and behavioral intention across emerging digital technologies. The lab investigates key psychological, perceptual, and systemic factors influencing user engagement in smart environments such as IoT-enabled homes, smart cities, social networking services, and mobile telecommunications. With a strong emphasis on empirical modeling using structural equation modeling (SEM) and large-scale data analysis, the lab aims to bridge technology design with real-world user experiences. Current research directions include smart city infrastructure, service quality in digital platforms, and predictive modeling of user behavior in hospitality and transportation sectors.

A deep learning model for detecting mental illness from user content on social media
Jina Kim, Jieon Lee, Eunil Park, Jinyoung Han
SJR Q1Scientific ReportsOA

Users of social media often share their feelings or emotional states through their posts. In this study, we developed a deep learning model to identify a user's mental state based on his/her posting information. To this end, we collected posts from mental health communities in Reddit. By analyzing and learning posting information written by users, our proposed model could accurately identify whether a user's post belongs to a specific mental disorder, including depression, anxiety, bipolar, bord

The Role of Internet of Things (IoT) in Smart Cities: Technology Roadmap-oriented Approaches
Eunil Park, Ángel P. del Pobil, Sang Jib Kwon
SJR Q1SustainabilityOA

Since the concept of a smart city was introduced, IoT (Internet of Things) has beenconsidered the key infrastructure in a smart city. However, there are currently no detailed explanations of the technical contributions of IoT in terms of the management, development, and improvements of smart cities. Therefore, the current study describes the importance of IoT technologies on the technology roadmap (TRM) of a smart city. Moreover, the survey with about 200 experts was conducted to investigate bot

What drives successful social networking services? A comparative analysis of user acceptance of Facebook and Twitter
Sang Jib Kwon, Eunil Park, Ki Joon Kim
SJR Q2The Social Science Journal

This study identifies perceived mobility, security, connectedness, system and service quality, usefulness, attitude, and flow experience as key motivational factors for using social networking services (SNSs), and develops a theoretical model that explicates the process in which users adopt Facebook and Twitter by integrating these factors with the technology acceptance model (TAM). While results of structural equation modeling (SEM) on the collected data (N = 2,214) verified the validity and re

SJR Q1Current Issues in Tourism

Customer retention has been one of the most recognized research issues in the service industry. The next on the list is predicting customer behaviour or understanding customer intent, which is particularly important for the hospitality and tourism industries. This study investigates the customers' hotel revisiting behaviour using a large-scale customer review data, which can shed light on the potentiality of (i) identifying the factors that are associated with the customer revisiting behaviour a

Understanding driver adoption of car navigation systems using the extended technology acceptance model
Eunil Park, Heetae Kim, Jay Y. Ohm
SJR Q1Behaviour and Information Technology

This study proposes an integrated research model for investigating driver adoption of car navigation systems. We consider the potential causal connections between core cognitive and psychological factors and driver intention to use these systems. We extracted possible factors that may significantly affect the perceived usability of car navigation systems from in-depth interviews with two groups of individuals: an expert group and a driver group. Data collected from N = 1045 drivers via an online
