This study aims to analyze and compare the long-run causal relationship between renewable energy consumption and economic growth for developed countries with that for less-developed countries to derive implications for long-term renewable energy policy. Quantifying the sources of change in energy use by decomposition can provide policymakers with useful information, especially for Korea, which has energy-intensive industries such as steel and petrochemicals. 국제원유시장의 지역화에 대한 논의는 에너지 정책을 수립하는데 중요한 자료를 제공한다. 특히 우리나라와 같이 하나의 시장에서 80% 가량의 원유를 수입하고 있는 국가에게는 국제원유시장의 지역화 여부는 중요한 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같이 중요한 의의를 가지는 국제원유시장의 지역화를 분석하기 위해서 기존 연구의 공적분 분석 방법론과 함께 가격의 선행 관계와 시차를 고려할 수 있는 인과관계 분석 방법론을 사용하였다. 중동시장의 Dubai유, 유럽시장의 Brent유, 미국시장의 WTI유와 동아시아시장의 Tapis유를 대상으로 국제원유시장의 지역화 여부를 분석하였으며, 공적분 관계가 성립하지 않는 가격에 대해서는 시차의 변경을 고려할 수 있는 Hsiao(1981)의 인과관계 분석 방법론을 사용하였다. 또한 공적분 관계가 성립하여 장기적인 균형관계에 놓여 있는 가격에 대해서는 벡터오차수정모형을 사용하여 인과관계를 분석하였다. 공적분 분석 결과 Brent, WTI, Tapis 유의 가격

본 연구는 바이오기업의 혁신 성과로써 특허 등록건수를 설명하기 위해 기업의 연구개발활동, 특히 내․외부 지식 활용 활동에 중점을 두었다. 국내 생물산업 통계 자료를 이용해 한국 바이오기업의 연구개발인력 규모 및 구성, 흡수역량, 네트워크, 지식파급효과, 기존 지식과 연간 특허 성과와의 관계를 추정하였으며 이 때 벤처 기업과 그 외 기업을 구분하여 혁신 성향에서의 차이가 있는가를 보았다. 분석 결과, 연구개발인력 규모와 박사급 연구개발인력 비중으로 나타낸 구성 변수가 성과와 양의 관계를 나타내었으며, 구성 변수와의 관계에서는 역 U자형이 발견되었다. 지리적 위치와 네트워크가 특허 성과에 미치는 영향에는 부분적으로 기업의 흡수역량이 그 효과를 조절하고 있었고, 특히 기존 지식의 종류에 따라 혁신 성과에 미치는 영향이 벤처와 그 외 기업에서 다른 양상으로 나타났다.

Various government policies to promote geothermal electricity have been implemented worldwide, but their effectiveness remains to be investigated. Therefore, this study investigates the impacts of such policies on the deployment of geothermal electricity through a panel analysis of 35 OECD and BRICS countries from 1980 to 2010. ABSTRACT This study focuses on how fully-developed international crude oil markets react to production and inventory variances in both short-run and long-run. We present an Error Correction Model (ECM) with for five international crude oil spot market prices, US inventory and OPEC production level.
