Professor Eunseon Kim's research lab focuses on gastrointestinal and metabolic diseases, with a strong emphasis on endoscopic interventions, colorectal cancer management, and the pathophysiology of chronic conditions such as obesity and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The lab investigates complications of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), including perforation, and explores predictive factors and protective strategies in surgical outcomes. It also examines the role of medicinal plants and proteomic mechanisms in metabolic and renal diseases, aiming to identify novel therapeutic targets. Additionally, the lab contributes to understanding respiratory complications in cancer patients and the impact of lung function on postoperative outcomes.
