Professor Geum-Nyeon Kim's research lab specializes in spinal and orthopedic surgery, with a strong focus on complex spinal deformities, spinal trauma, and innovative surgical techniques. The lab investigates advanced spinal reconstruction methods, including the use of 3D-printed implants for pelvic and sacral reconstructions, and explores minimally invasive and robotic-assisted spinal procedures. Resection of retroperitoneal tumors is usually perfomed using the anterior retroperitoneal approach. Our report presents an innovative method utilizing a robotic surgical system. Purpose: We performed 65 cases of posterior fusion surgery for cervical and/or high thoracic lesions using a polyaxial screw-rod system. Patients and Methods: A total of 486 screws were implanted in 65 patients. Results: Fixation of the screws was carried out over an average of 2.9 spinal segments. Purpose: This study aimed to present our experience with failures in C-TDR and revision surgery outcomes. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively examined patients who underwent revision surgery due to the failure of C-TDR between May 2005 to March 2019. Thirteen patients (8 males and 5 females) were included in this study. The mean age was 46.1 years (range: 22–61 years), and the average follow-up period was 19.5 months (range: 12–64 months).
