Professor Gi Hyuk Koo's research lab specializes in orthopedic surgery and trauma surgery, with a strong focus on joint arthroplasty, particularly unicompartmental knee arthroplasty and distal humerus fracture fixation. The lab investigates long-term clinical outcomes, survivorship, and risk factors for complications such as non-union and postoperative spinal epidural hematoma. It also explores soft tissue and microvascular reconstruction techniques for complex foot and soft tissue defects.
