Professor Gonjin Song's research lab specializes in clinical and translational epidemiology, focusing on the genetic and environmental determinants of common chronic diseases and behavioral health conditions. The lab conducts large-scale, population-based studies and systematic reviews to explore associations between pharmacological exposures (e.g., antihypertensives, statins), genetic polymorphisms (e.g., CYP3A5*3, ABCA1 69C>T), and health outcomes such as psoriasis, type 2 diabetes, and psychiatric behaviors like aggression and ADHD. Their work integrates genetic epidemiology with psychosocial factors, emphasizing evidence-based medicine through meta-analytic approaches.
