Professor Ha-Rim Jeong's research lab focuses on translational epigenetics and immunology in hematological malignancies, particularly acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and multiple myeloma. The lab investigates epigenetic regulators such as G9a and ULK1 as novel therapeutic targets, with an emphasis on leukemia stem cells and resistance mechanisms. It also explores the tumor microenvironment, especially the role of natural killer cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs), in modulating anti-tumor immunity and response to immunotherapies like daratumumab. The lab integrates single-cell genomics, functional immunophenotyping, and preclinical models to identify biomarkers and develop precision treatment strategies for older AML patients.
