Professor Habin Lee's research lab specializes in operations research and decision analytics with a focus on sustainable logistics, intelligent systems, and public sector innovation. The lab investigates speed optimization in maritime shipping to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring schedule reliability, integrating stochastic modeling and dynamic programming. It also explores the impact of information technology on organizational temporality and develops big data analytics frameworks—particularly using fuzzy cognitive maps—for improved decision-making in public sector IT procurement. Additionally, the lab contributes to e-government evaluation through citizen-centric frameworks and applies computational intelligence techniques to sentiment analysis for practical applications in e-commerce and public services.
