Professor Hae-Young Na's research lab focuses on immunology and cellular signaling, with a particular emphasis on innate immune cells such as dendritic cells and macrophages, and their roles in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The lab investigates posttranscriptional regulation in immune cell development, especially the function of microRNAs, and explores molecular mechanisms underlying disease pathogenesis, including Fabry disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Using advanced techniques such as surface plasmon resonance and fluorescent labeling, the lab identifies disease-associated autoantibodies and cellular lipid metabolism pathways.

15OBJECTIVE: Globotriaosylceramide (Gb3) induces KCa3.1 downregulation in Fabry disease (FD). We investigated whether Gb3 induces KCa3.1 endocytosis and degradation.
