Professor Hak-Young Lee's research lab specializes in clinical and translational neuroscience, focusing on neurodegenerative disorders, cerebrovascular diseases, and the impact of systemic conditions on brain health. Key research directions include the role of thyroid hormones and APOE genotype in cognitive decline, the neurological consequences of toxic exposures (e.g., mercury), and the use of advanced neuroimaging techniques like DTI and SPECT to understand brain changes in Alzheimer’s disease and mild cognitive impairment.
