Professor Han-Soo Kim's research lab specializes in regenerative medicine and disease modeling, with a focus on mesenchymal stem cell-derived microvesicles for treating neurological injuries such as ischemic stroke. The lab also pioneers the generation and application of patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to model neurodegenerative and genetic disorders, including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. Additionally, the lab investigates molecular mechanisms in cancer progression and fibrotic diseases, exploring novel therapeutic targets like EMMPRIN in osteosarcoma and anti-fibrotic agents such as eupatilin in pulmonary fibrosis.
