Professor Hee Young Na's research lab focuses on molecular oncology and translational pathology, with a strong emphasis on biomarker discovery and immune microenvironment characterization in gastrointestinal cancers, particularly gastric and colorectal cancer. The lab investigates the role of key regulatory pathways such as Nrf2, NLRP3 inflammasome, and p53 in tumorigenesis and immune modulation, integrating immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, and bioinformatics. Recent work also extends into data standardization and natural language processing for pathology report integration into clinical data models, supporting precision oncology research.
