Professor Hunmin Kim's research lab specializes in urban and regional economics, with a focus on the interplay between industrial development, urban competitiveness, and spatial economic dynamics. The lab investigates how metropolitan areas can enhance their economic resilience through strategic industrial policies, particularly by analyzing the roles of agglomeration economies, producer services, and knowledge-based industries. Research also extends to the integration of technological advancements—such as brain connectivity analysis using EEG and big data—into urban planning and policy evaluation, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to smart city development and livability. The lab emphasizes evidence-based policy design for sustainable urban growth, especially in metropolitan regions like Seoul and the broader Korean peninsula.

Danon disease is caused by deficiency of lysosome-associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2). It is characterized clinically by cardiomyopathy, myopathy, and mental retardation in boys. The current study demonstrated that the adjunctive use of intravenous LEV was effective and well tolerated in pediatric patients with refractory SE, even in patients younger than 2 years.
