研究室紹介
Professor Hwaryun Lee's research lab specializes in translational oncology, focusing on the development and evaluation of novel nanotherapeutics for advanced and metastatic cancers. The lab conducts rigorous clinical research, particularly meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials, to assess the efficacy and safety of innovative chemotherapy agents such as nanoparticle albumin-bound (nab)-paclitaxel in breast cancer treatment. A key research direction involves comparing nab-paclitaxel with conventional solvent-based taxanes to optimize first-line therapy outcomes in metastatic breast cancer. The lab also investigates the impact of changing regulatory approvals—such as the withdrawal of bevacizumab—on treatment paradigms and patient outcomes.

1The curative effects of nanoparticle albumin-bound (nab)-paclitaxel in the first-line treatment of metastatic breast cancer (MBC) are still controversial, with even more after the removal of marketing approval of indication of bevacizumab. Five electronic databases and the related resources were searched for eligible randomized clinical trials (RCTs) without year and language restrictions to perform a meta-analysis. The studies were comparing the efficacy and safety between nab-paclitaxel chemot
