본 연구는 대중적인 여가 매체 중 하나인 영화 취향의 구조를 통해 한국사회의 상징적 배제의 모습을 살펴본다. 영화 취향을 연구한 한국 선행연구들이 기초로 하고 있는 피터슨과 컨(Peterson and Kern, 1996), 브라이슨(Bryson, 1996)의 연구와 함께 바넷과 앨런(Barnett and Allen, 2000)의 연구를 바탕으로 본 연구가 활용한 영화 취향의 측정방식은 두 가지이다. 첫 번째는 영화 장르에 대한 선호와 혐오의 폭을 통해 영화 장르 취향의 관용성을 측정하는 방식이고(Bryson, 1996; Peterson and Kern, 1996), 두 번째는 국내/국외의 영화 국적과 예술성/상업성/영화사적 의미의 영화 특성의 구분에 따라 개별 영화의 관람을 측정하는 방식이다(Barnett and Allen, 2000). 분석 결과, 문화적으로 배제된 집단(고령자, 저소득자, 저학력자)일수록 선호하는 영화장르의 수가 적고, 혐오하는 영화장르는 많았다. 또한 상층계급일

본 연구는 예술영화 취향을 둘러싼 구별짓기의 인지적 지형을 살펴본다. 예술영화는 대중문화의 대표적 형태인 영화에 속하면서도 다른 일반적인 영화들과 달리 ‘예술적’인 측면이 강조되면서 다른 영화들로부터 구별된다. 본 연구는 영화 소비자들을 대상으로 진행한 온라인 설문 결과를 바탕으로 한국사회 내에서 예술영화 취향과 예술영화 관객집단에게 부여되는 구별짓기적 위치를 확인하고자 한다. 예술영화 관객들은 대중영화를 영화관에서 관람할 때는 항상 누군가와 함께 가지만, 예술영화를 관람할 때는 혼자 영화관에 가는 경향을 보인다. 예술영화 관객의 영화관람 방식의 차이는 특히 예술영화가 난해한 텍스트를 가지고 있다는 점에서 진지한 감상을 요구하며, 그로 인해 예술영화를 보지 않는 사람들을 간접적으로 배제하는 효과를 갖기 때문인 것으로 분석된다. 실제로 예술영화 취향은 바로 이러한 지점에서 대중영화와 구별된다. 예술영화 소비자들은 대중영화에 대해서는 사교오락적 측면을 높게 평가하는 반면 예술영화에 대해

본 연구는 비정형 데이터인 텍스트 대상 빅데이터 분석기법인 LDA 토픽모델링을 활용하여 아동·청소년 대상 디지털 성범죄 판례의 범죄사실에 나타나는 주요 토픽을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 이를 위해 판례 검색 사이트 ‘빅케이스’에서 ‘아동·청소년 성착취물’, ‘아동·청소년 음란물’을 키워드로 2020년 1월부터 2024년 8월까지 아동·청소년의 성보호에 관한 법률을 위반한 판례를 검색하였다. 그 결과 판례 2,194건을 수집하였고, 범죄의 양태를 파악하기 위해 분석 대상을 판례의 ‘범죄사실’ 부분으로 한정하였다. 수집한 텍스트 데이터는 토큰화 및 명사 추출, 불용어 제거, 공통단어 변환, 복합명사 변환 등 전처리 과정을 거쳐 주요 키워드의 워드클라우드 시각화와 LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation) 토픽모델링을 실시하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 네 개의 토픽이 도출되었고, 이를 각각 ‘온라인 메신저를 매개로 발생하는 디지털 성착취’, ‘불법 성착취물의 개인적 소지 및 소
