Professor Hye-yoon Lee's research lab focuses on translational cancer research, integrating molecular oncology, medical imaging, and surgical innovation. The lab investigates the role of microRNAs and tumor microenvironment components—such as type I collagen—in driving breast cancer progression and aggressiveness. It also explores radiogenomics using machine learning to predict molecular subtypes and prognosis from low-dose perfusion CT, and evaluates surgical safety through neuromonitoring in nerve-sparing procedures. The lab bridges basic science with clinical applications, particularly in improving outcomes for breast cancer and head and neck surgery.
