Professor Hyejeong Bae's research lab specializes in clinical nutrition and pediatric critical care, with a strong focus on optimizing nutritional support for vulnerable patient populations, particularly preterm infants and critically ill children. The lab investigates the impact of multidisciplinary nutritional support teams (NSTs) on clinical outcomes, including growth, infection rates, and length of hospital stay. The results of the meta-analysis indicated that FO-containing IVFEs could improve infectious morbidity and LOS. The overall effect of reducing infectious morbidity and LOS was found to be the greatest in comparison with the SO-based IVFEs.
