研究室紹介
Professor Hyerim Lee's research lab focuses on environmental and occupational health, particularly in identifying and mitigating health hazards from chemical exposures such as PHMG-Phosphate and HCFC-123. The lab conducts toxicological hazard assessments, establishes reference concentration values (RfCworker), and proposes domestic occupational exposure limits (OELs) to support regulatory frameworks under occupational safety laws. Additionally, the lab investigates molecular mechanisms in chronic inflammatory diseases, including the role of prostaglandin E2 and cytokines like IL-6, IL-8, and VEGF in nasal polyp-derived fibroblasts. A parallel research line explores cybersecurity in mobile technology, emphasizing privacy-preserving methods for detecting malicious Android applications using machine learning techniques.

9Purpose: Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and IL-8 participate in the pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, and their levels are increased byprostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in different cell types. The purposes of this study were to determine whether PGE2 has any effect on the increase in the levelsof IL-6 and IL-8 in nasal polyp-derived fibroblasts (NPDFs) and subsequently investigate the possible mechanism of this effect. Methods: Differentconcentrations of PGE2 were used to stimulate NPDFs at
Objective: This study was performed to propose a domestic occupational exposure limit(OEL) following a health hazard assessment, calculation of a non-carcinogenicity reference concentration worker(RfCworker) value, and examination of international agencies' exposure limits. It also recommends legal management within the Occupational Safety and Health Act for PHMG- Phosphate(CAS No. 89697-78-9), It is a humidifier disinfectant that generated many lung injuries. Methods: We have investigated the r
Purpose: Angiogenesis is involved in the pathogenesis of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. We aimed to investigate the effects of prostaglandinE2 (PGE2) on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) production, the role of E-prostanoid (EP) 4 receptors, and the signal transduction pathwaymediating VEGF production in nasal polyp-derived fibroblasts (NPDFs). Methods: Eight primary NPDF cultures were established from nasalpolyps, which were incubated with or without PGE2. Reverse transcripti

Background and Purpose Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a rare demyelinating disease of the central nervous system (CNS). We investigated the medical behaviors of experts in Korea when they are diagnosing and treating NMOSD. Methods An anonymous questionnaire on the diagnosis and treatment of NMOSD was distributed to experts in CNS demyelinating diseases. Results Most respondents used the 2015 diagnostic criteria for NMOSD and applied a cerebrospinal fluid examination, magnetic
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effects of communi-ty-based walking training (CWT) on the walking ability and fall-related self-efficacy of chronic stroke patients and compare the effects of CWT to the conventional walking programs in stroke patients. Previous stud-ies focused on walking speed, walking endurance, and balance. How-ever, no studies have examined the changes in fall-related self-efficacy after CWT. In order to achieve purpose of this study, 45 chronic stroke patie
