Professor Hyeshin's research lab specializes in health promotion, patient-reported outcomes, and quality of life across diverse populations, with a strong focus on aging, chronic illness, and preventive health behaviors. The lab investigates health-related quality of life, symptom clusters, and psychosocial factors in older adults, cancer survivors, and young adults, integrating both quantitative and emerging digital health methodologies. A key research direction involves exploring the impact of technology—such as AI—on health education and clinical decision-making, particularly in nursing and adolescent health contexts. The lab also examines family and cultural influences on health knowledge, parenting intentions, and preventive behaviors across different life stages and migration statuses.
