Professor Hyojin Sung's research lab focuses on advancing parallel computing through the co-design of software and hardware, emphasizing deterministic and disciplined shared-memory programming models. The lab develops type and effect systems to enforce deterministic semantics in concurrent object-oriented languages, enabling safer and more predictable parallel programming. It also explores hardware architectures like DeNovo that are optimized for such software models, improving performance, scalability, and energy efficiency. Additionally, the lab contributes to compiler infrastructure, particularly in supporting OpenMP offloading and portable accelerator programming within LLVM and Clang.

5본고의 목적은 도시적 삶에 유입된 공공미술 작품인 안토니 곰리의 <지평선>을 통해 공공미술의 새로운 방향성을 모색하려는 시도이다. 이에 따라 본고는 관람객과 그 일상을 공공미술 안으로 끌어들여 그영역을 확장한 안토니 곰리의 <지평선>을 통해 공공미술이 나아갈 방향성을 고찰하고자 하였다. 논의를 위해 2장에서는 공공미술의 개념과 그 변화를 살펴보았다. 3장에서는 안토니 곰리의 대표적인 공공미술 작품이 지역 사회와 어떻게 조화를 이루었는지를 다루었다. 4장은 런던에서의 전시를 중심으로<지평선>이 갤러리를 도시 공간으로 확장하여 도시의 문화적 지형을 포괄하며 동시에 일상으로 유입된공공미술 작품임을 조명하였다. 5장은 뉴욕에서의 전시를 통해 <지평선>이 시공간을 넘어선 공공미술작품으로서 갖는 의미와 시사점을 파악하였다. 이러한 논의를 통해 공공미술이 도시인들의 삶과 어우러져 더 나은 내일을 만들어가는 것이 공공미술이 추구해야 할 새로운 방향성임을 확인할 수 있었다.
