研究室紹介

Professor Hyoung-Gwan Kim's research lab specializes in coding theory and combinatorial mathematics, with a focus on superimposed codes, lexicographic codes, and their applications in information theory and data transmission. The lab investigates the existence, construction, and uniqueness of optimal codes, particularly superimposed codes with specific parameters, as well as algorithms for basis generation and decoding in quaternary codes. Their work contributes to the design of efficient error-detection and error-correction systems in communication and storage technologies.

SJR Q3Problems of Information Transmission

Four new results on the uniqueness of optimal superimposed codes are presented, namely, the uniqueness of (w, r) superimposed codes of size N × T with $$N = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {w + r + 1} \\ w \\ \end{array} } \right)$$ and T = w + r + 1 and the uniqueness of (2, 2) superimposed codes of size 18 × 9, (2, 2) superimposed codes of size 14 × 7, and (3, 3) superimposed codes of size 66 × 11.
