Professor Hyun Jang Jeong's research lab specializes in orthopedic surgery and shoulder arthroplasty, with a strong focus on rotator cuff repair techniques, implant biomechanics, and postoperative complications. The lab investigates clinical outcomes, structural integrity, and long-term functional recovery following arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, while also exploring novel techniques such as transosseous anchorless repair to minimize complications. A key area of interest is the identification and prediction of rare but serious postoperative conditions like pseudoparalysis and osteonecrosis of the humeral head, using large-scale clinical data and biomechanical modeling. The lab integrates clinical research with advanced imaging and surgical outcome analysis to improve patient-centered care in shoulder surgery.

To compare the postoperative estimated-glomerular-filtration-rate (eGFR) and parenchymal changes between cold ischemia and zero/selective ischemia for a T1a mass. We analyzed 104 patients who underwent open partial nephrectomy with cold ischemia (53) or zero/selective ischemia (51) for T1a between 2008 and 2018 to determine postoperative renal function changes and associated factors. Postoperative renal function was expressed as (postoperative-eGFR - preoperative-eGFR)/preoperative-eGFR × 100%.
Primary epididymal lymphomas are very rare condition, only 6 case report was published. In 4 of them, initial presentation was non-tender, continuous growth of testis.
