Professor Hyun-Ki Kim's research lab specializes in human-centered technology design, focusing on user experience (UX) across diverse populations, including children, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities. The lab investigates the interplay between usability, accessibility, emotional response, and social interaction in emerging technologies such as meal-assistance robots, kiosks, and digital banking services. A central theme is redefining the relationship between usability and accessibility to create inclusive, effective, and emotionally engaging technology solutions.

1The islet of Langerhans (or pancreatic islet) is a unique endocrine organ that secretes multiple hormones that in turn orchestrate energy metabolism in humans.
