Professor In Hwan Jang's research lab focuses on innate immunity and vascular biology, with a particular emphasis on the molecular mechanisms underlying immune recognition, inflammation, and vascular remodeling. The lab investigates pattern recognition receptors, transcriptional regulation in immune responses, and the roles of epigenetic modifications—such as DNA methylation—in endothelial dysfunction and diseases like atherosclerosis and abdominal aortic aneurysm. Additionally, the lab explores the regulatory functions of cytokines like IL-7 and microRNAs in immune homeostasis and cancer progression, integrating genetic, molecular, and translational approaches in model systems including Drosophila and murine models.
