Professor Inhyung Lee's research lab focuses on translational neuroscience and veterinary anesthesiology, with key research directions in hippocampal-perirhinal cortex interactions in memory processing and the development of safe, effective epidural anesthesia techniques in large animals. The lab investigates neural circuit mechanisms underlying bimodal memory tasks using reversible inactivation and behavioral paradigms in rodents, while also advancing clinical applications in cattle through optimized epidural drug delivery and pressure monitoring. Additionally, the lab contributes to food science by developing safe, starter-based fermentation processes for traditional Korean soybean paste (doenjang).

This study was performed to clarify the analgesic effect of ketamine injected into the first intercoccygeal (Co1-Co2) epidural space in standing cattle.
