Professor Ja-Ho Leigh's research lab specializes in clinical and rehabilitative medicine, with a primary focus on dysphagia management, traumatic brain injury (TBI) outcomes, and work-related musculoskeletal injuries. The lab investigates biomechanical and neuromuscular aspects of swallowing through videofluoroscopy and kinematic analysis, while also examining long-term neuropsychiatric sequelae such as depression following TBI. Additionally, the lab develops and validates patient-reported outcome measures, such as return-to-work self-efficacy scales, for injured workers in Korea. The research integrates epidemiological data with clinical rehabilitation strategies to improve patient outcomes and healthcare resource allocation across the stroke and injury care continuum.
