Professor Jae-Hwan Park's research lab specializes in clinical biomechanics and rehabilitation engineering, focusing on gait analysis, joint coordination, and mobility disorders in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions such as knee osteoarthritis, stroke, and spinal cord injury. The lab employs advanced motion analysis techniques, including hip-knee cyclograms and inertial sensor systems, to quantify gait variability and inter-joint coordination. It also investigates therapeutic interventions, such as stellate ganglion blocks for brachial plexus injury and exoskeleton-assisted walking, to improve functional outcomes. Additionally, the lab explores biophysical properties of medical materials, such as fluid thickeners for dysphagia, using viscometry and rheological testing.
