Professor Jae Moon Yang's research lab focuses on the intersection of biomedical engineering, cancer biology, and nanotechnology, with a strong emphasis on developing innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for cancer. The lab investigates molecular signaling pathways in head and neck and bladder cancers, explores metabolic reprogramming in cancer stem cells, and pioneers the use of nanomaterials—particularly single-walled carbon nanotubes—for photothermal therapy and molecular imaging. Additionally, the lab applies advanced imaging and machine learning techniques, such as MR radiomics, to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment planning.
