Professor Jae Young Lee's research lab specializes in advanced biomaterials and tissue engineering, with a focus on developing functional hydrogels and nanocomposites for regenerative medicine. Key research directions include the design of electrically conductive hydrogels for neural tissue engineering, the fabrication of multifunctional nerve guidance conduits using graphene oxide and biopolymers, and the application of 3D cell printing with bioinks for osteogenic and neural tissue regeneration. The lab also explores laser-matter interactions in materials processing, contributing to precision manufacturing and additive manufacturing technologies.

15Color Doppler twinkling artifacts from urinary stones occur frequently and may be considered an additional sonographic feature of urinary stones. The observation of these artifacts may be helpful in determining the presence of urinary stones.

PURPOSE: To determine imaging criteria for the combined use of contrast-enhanced (CE)-MRI and MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) to differentiate malignant from benign biliary strictures. with DE CT scanning, VNC images can be an alternative to TNC images for evaluating the ablation zone after RFA in patients who had no a previous transcatheter arterial chemoembolization history. The iodine map improves the conspicuity of the ablation zone more than linearly blended images because of its excellent internal homogeneity and sharp ablative margin. Higher lesion-to-liver CNR on an iodine map than on standard images can be helpful for detecting residual tumors.
Delayed gadobenate dimeglumine-enhanced MR imaging allows improved characterization of HCC in cirrhotic liver. The relative hypointensity to adjacent normal liver parenchyma is a reliable predictor that this lesion favors HCC rather than DN in cirrhotic liver.
