Professor Jang Hee Han's research lab specializes in wildlife health and conservation, with a strong focus on the physiological and microbiological impacts of human interventions such as rehabilitation on wild animals. The lab investigates the gut microbiome, antibiotic resistance, and reference intervals in wildlife, particularly endangered or protected species like migratory birds, Siberian weasels, and turtles. It also applies advanced analytical techniques—such as Raman spectroscopy and multivariate analysis—to improve pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and support translational research in veterinary and wildlife medicine. The lab bridges ecological health, clinical diagnostics, and biomedical engineering to promote sustainable conservation and animal welfare.
