Professor Jangseop Lee's research focuses on community-centered service design, particularly in the context of aging societies and social vulnerability. His lab explores innovative, participatory design solutions for public welfare services—especially in home-care and community support systems—amid challenges like pandemic disruptions. The lab emphasizes co-creation with local communities and institutions to develop sustainable, human-centered service models that enhance social care resilience. Current work centers on transforming traditional public services into accessible, technology-integrated, and empathetic systems.

1본 연구는 서울디자인재단과 한국디자인학회가 주최한 ‘2020 휴먼시티 대학생 디자인 워크숍’에서 서울대학교 디자인학부 디자인전공 참여팀이 진행한 돌봄도시락 서비스디자인 프로젝트를 기반으로 하였다. 본 연구에서 ‘돌봄도시락’은 서울시에 서 긴급한 돌봄이 필요한 취약계층에게 지원하는 ‘돌봄SOS센터’에서 운영하는 ‘식사지원서비스’를 지칭한다. 연구 과정에 서 코로나19의 장기화로 인해 돌봄도시락 서비스를 포함한 대면 활동이 필수적인 돌봄 서비스의 커뮤니티케어 기능이 약화 되었으며, 독거 노인을 포함한 취약계층의 돌봄 사각지대 문제가 심화된다는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구는 돌봄도시락 서비스의 비대면 커뮤니티케어 서비스 디자인 필요성을 인식하여 연구 주제로 결정하였다. 보다 현실에 필요한 연구를 위 해 지역사회 내 관련 기관과의 컨소시엄을 통한 참여디자인 과정으로 진행하였으며, 시범사업과정을 포함하였다. 결과적으 로 기초적인 건강 확인 장치(안부 카드)를 추가한 새로운 공공서비스 모델
