Professor Jeong-Hoon Seo's research lab specializes in economic geology and magmatic-hydrothermal systems, with a focus on the origin, evolution, and metallogenesis of hydrothermal ore deposits. The lab investigates the petrological, geochemical, and fluid inclusion characteristics of tin-tungsten, tungsten-molybdenum, and porphyry-type deposits, particularly in Precambrian to Mesoproterozoic terranes. Key research directions include the role of magma differentiation, fluid mixing, and alteration processes in controlling ore formation, as well as the application of geochronology and electron microscopy to constrain mineralization timing and fluid evolution.

An Extended Robust H _infty Filter for Nonlinear Constrained Uncertain Systems

In this correspondence, a robust filter is proposed to effectively estimate the system states in the case where system model uncertainties as well as disturbances are present. The proposed robust filter is constructed based on the linear approximation methods for a general nonlinear uncertain system with an integral quadratic constraint.
