Professor Jeong-nak Moon's research lab focuses on gastrointestinal diseases, particularly inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, with an emphasis on biomarkers, disease progression, and healthcare economics. The lab investigates clinical and molecular mechanisms underlying IBD, including inflammatory markers like NLR and PLR, and explores the role of key signaling molecules such as TGF-β1 and XAF1 in colorectal cancer progression.
