Professor Jeong-Woo Yu's research lab specializes in functional and radiosurgical interventions for neurological disorders, with a strong focus on minimally invasive and image-guided therapies. The lab investigates advanced stereotactic techniques, including robot-assisted stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG), Gamma Knife radiosurgery for trigeminal neuralgia and pituitary adenomas, and image-guided radiofrequency rhizotomy. A key emphasis is placed on improving procedural precision, safety, and long-term outcomes through integration of neuronavigation, intraoperative imaging, and innovative surgical robotics. The lab also conducts real-world, long-term evaluations of implantable devices such as intrathecal baclofen pumps for spasticity management.
