Professor Ji Eun Shin's research lab focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression, particularly the Hippo signaling pathway in tumor suppression, cancer stem cell plasticity, and metastasis. The lab investigates regulatory networks involving YAP/TAZ, miRNA machinery, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), with translational applications in reproductive medicine, including endometrial regeneration using platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Additionally, the lab explores host-virus interactions, especially hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes and their clinical implications in Korean populations. These interdisciplinary efforts bridge basic molecular oncology with clinical applications in infertility and cancer therapy.

고등학생의 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의와 심리적 부적응 : 자기은폐를 매개변인으로

본 연구는 고등학생을 대상으로 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의를 구성하는 두 하위요인(조건적 수용, 타인의 높은 기준)과 심리적 부적응의 관계를 살펴보고, 이 과정에서 자기은폐의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. ‘조건적 수용’ 요인은 우울, 불안, 적대감 모두와 유의한 정적 상관을 보인 반면, ‘타인의 높은 기준’ 요인은 우울 및 불안과만 관련되었다. 그러나 ‘조건적 수용’ 요인을 통제한 ‘타인의 높은 기준’ 요인은 심리적 부적응과 아무런 관련을 보이지 않았으며, 자기은폐는 ‘조건적 수용’ 요인과 심리적 부적응의 관계를 부분적으로 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 타인의 부정적인 평가를 두려워하는 완벽주의적인 고등학생으로 하여금 스스로의 취약한 부분을 터놓을 수 있도록 돕는 것이 필요함을 시사한다.

행복한 청소년은 좋은 시민이 되는가? 본 연구는 청소년의 행복과 친사회적 가치관 및 행동의 관련성을 검토하고자 두 개의 연구를 수행하였다. 예상한대로, 행복한 청소년은 그렇지 않은 청소년에 비해 돈보다 관계적 가치를 더 중시하고, 타인 및 사회에의 높은 신뢰와 공동체 의식을 보였다(연구 1). 이어서 종단자료의 분석 결과(연구 2), 초기 청소년의 행복은 8개월 후의 친사회적 가치관(예, 감사)을 예측하였으며, 이 효과는 기저 수준과 이타심을 통제하고서도 유효했다. 뿐만 아니라, 행복한 청소년은 대학생이 되었을 때 친사회적 행동(예, 헌혈)을 더 자주 하는 경향이 있었으며, 이 관계를 친사회적 가치관이 부분적으로 매개하였다. 본 연구는 한국사회에서 나타나는 청소년 행복의 친사회적 기능을 처음으로 고찰했다는 데에 의의가 있다.

완벽주의는 다차원적 개념이며, 그 중에서도 자기-지향적 완벽주의는 대체로 적응적인 특성으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 선행연구의 대부분이 대학생을 대상으로 이루어진 연구인데다가 결과들 또한 일관적이지 않아 자기-지향적 완벽주의가 과연 긍정적인지에 대해서는 여전히 논란거리이다. 이에 본 연구는 학업우수 청소년인 특수 목적 고등학생을 대상으로 자기-지향적 완벽주의를 구성하는 두 하위요인(완벽주의적 노력, 완벽해지는 것의 중요성)과 실패 경험 후 겪는 정서의 관계를 살펴보고, 이 과정에서 목표 지향성의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 결과, ‘완벽주의적인 노력’ 요인은 숙달접근 및 수행접근 묙표지향성뿐 아니라 실패 후 긍정 정서 및 자긍심과도 유의한 정적 상관을 보였으나, 실패 후 부정 정서와는 관련이 없었다. 반면 ‘완벽해지는 것의 중요성’ 요인은 수행접근 및 수행회피 목표지향성 그리고 실패 후 부정 정서와 유의한 정적 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타나, 자기-지향적 완벽주의를 구성하는
